I had a little fun with an M3 on my lunch break about an hour ago. I'm driving on the highway and me and this M3 come out of the tolls at the same time, he punches it and I punch it too. Immediately he puts like 5-6 cars on me..WTF..Then I remember I have a pair of rims, baseball equipment and a stroller in the trunk. Well we get up to about 70 and there is traffic. I see it is about to open up and I am maintaining about 2 cars behind me as it opens up. I'm holding 3rd gear at around 70 and then we hit again as it opens up. That MF put like 7-8 cars on me up to 120. He slows down so I can catch up and then we give each other the thumbs up. I really have to start modding this car or atleast keep my trunk clean so it aint that bad of a death. Love the E46 M3, I really hope they don't make the next gen M3 fugly.

I was killed (about 1cl) by a 2005 M3 while I was driving my BMW545i. We got at more than 140 mph but this SOB kept almost 1 cl all the time.
I couldn't believe how fast this things are. We stopped after and talked, his car was bone stock.

 

1 cl isn't bad at all....the 545i is a monster too. I would't call it "killed"
