This shop needs to be shut down!!!
1. That stripe is the color difference from when they sprayed base over your old molding and then cleared, it... they need to re spray that door to fix that issue!
2. Are these dots under the clear? if so they will have to re paint the car AGAIN! This is BS! You need to call Erie ASAP and let them know they still managed to screw this up! I would not have taken the car back and i would have left it there.
The paint is metalic... but its no pearl, pearl will have very very very small colors in it metalic does not. I wish i lived by you so i could go into that shop and teach them how to run it! I am getting pissed off that they are trying to pull all of this on you and its not even my car!

Yeah, the dots were under the clear.
I went to the Acura service department and told my buddy everything and he suggested that I bring their paint repair guy over there to inspect it. So we get there and the car is back in the booth with a fresh new base coat on it. The Acura guy looked at the darker strip of paint from underneath the side moldings and told me this is from the rest of the car's paint being weathered and that this section hasn't been weathered. He told me once I get the car back he can probably wet sand and/or buff it out, no problem.

So who is paying to do this re spray again?! And nothing says you cant turn around and sell the car. If it even gets on to Car Facts it takes about ~6-9 months and thats if the insurance company reports the loss. I had all the paper work signed for a 08 KBP Type s and then ended up not getting it... regret it every day

Yeah I really want to sell it, but it's already paid off and it looks (excuse me, WILL LOOK) great. I just put in Type S Tails and de-badged it, and I have Type S rear side markers on the way as well.
The only things I'm really worried about are:
- After doing the IHC mod (pressure switches) and a ATF flush and fill (OEM fluid, should have used Redline), the transmission still shudders pretty badly so I'm probably going to need a new transmission in a couple thousand miles
- I'm right at 98,000 miles and I am about to drive from TN to FL for spring training, so it will be a 100,000 mile car very soon (decreasing the cars value)
I think I'm going to stick it out because I am going to have to fork out money either way. If I sell and upgrade, then I'll have to pay upwards of $10,000 more for what I want. And also there's no guarantee that I won't have any problems with that one as well.
If I stay with what I got, then I'll probably spend $xxxx (less than $10k, that's for sure) for a new/rebuilt transmission.

And I JUST bought some brand new Ebony (Gunmetal) Aspecs for $715+shipping!!!
I figured I deserved some new shoes for all my stinkin troubles this past fall/winter.
With my luck the rims will probably get here before the car is actually done so I'll post pics later when everything is DONE!

Welp, I think that's the shops chance to fix things. They effed up AGAIN. I think it's now time for you to take it somewhere else on Accurate's dime. You can only give someone so many tries.

He had said already that another shop is fixing it on Accurate's dime.
Nice price for the wheels! You are right you deserve something nice after this whole mess... to bad you had to pay for them!
I would keep the car and if/when the trans goes replace it. 3k for a reman trans is alot less then the 10k difference like you said.

Sorry for the confusion, but the car is regretfully getting fixed at Accurate. I called Erie and they said that they (Accurate) are responsible for fixing their errors. I KNEW they would some how eff it up yesterday when they said my car would be ready.
I found these wheels on ebay, brand new w/ Acura centercaps. Here's the link, but he raised the price to $750 on this set: EBAY LINK

Don't give up yet, I would give the Redline Racing fluid a 90% chance of fixing it. The damage is done already but you can stop the shuddering and cease the excessive wear. It might get you a few more years of life. Spend the $50 now to avoid the $3,500 down the road.

Should I have gotten this?: (Redline Racing ATF)

It's not a big deal to change the order. Let me know what you think.

It's the second one for sure, the "racing". The one you ordered would not stop the shudder. Glad we got that fixed. Can't wait to hear your results. I would feel bad if you spent the money and it didn't work but there's an extremely good chance it will completely cure the shudder.

Just got done with the 3x3 and I swear it took about an hour just to find out where everything was and to get that stupid plastic piece out from under my car. There were three different styles of clips down there: one normal flat head screw driver clip, one same as the clips on the hood liner, and one oddly skinny clip that was a PAIN to get off. OH and also a rusty bolt and a black ziptie. Sweet... I guess it wouldn't have been that bad if I had the right tools for the job but I had to use the pliers and YANK them out once I pried them out far enough with the flat head. UGH!
But anyways, the first 3 quarts came out and OMG! It was brown with no hint of red in it. WOW!! And I swore I did this a year ago.
But once that first time got out of the way the rest was a BREEZE! I used a total of 9 quarts, each time getting more and more red. I also have 3qts left over for later down the road.
I'm telling you guys, this is something everyone should do. Thanks a lot to IHC and the guys who posted DIYs in the 3G Garage!

Wow that trans fluid is BAD! And if you really did it a year ago that even worse! What fluid did you put in? My car never had it done with 70k miles and it still looked red... well darkish red.
And nice wheels!!! I love the A-Spec wheels, i would have used them if they came in 19" and not everyone else uses them!

Man I'm sorry for all your troubles. I'm actually terrified of having to ever take my TLS into a shop to get any repairs done, cause I know I will be ripped off as I just don't know enough about the car to know what needs to be done. I guess thats why I have you guys.
I've totaled one car in the past, my old F-150, and since I was under my parents insurance, they got a new washer and dryer out of it and I was stuck with nothing . Glad you got everything back alright.

Then you posted the above. That explains it all:
ERIE!
Is that your company or the other guys? What a loser insurance company. Watch them drop you... even if it was not your fault

Erie was the other driver's insurance. It was a company truck, so my guess is that it was the company's choice in auto insurance.

Bad news about the pics... There wasn't a day without rain or snow in between when I got the car back and when I left to train out in Arizona. So, my car is back home in TN with new Aspecs put on it and about to have Type-S Rear Side Markers, while I'm out here in 60-70 degree beautiful weather. Arizona ROCKS! But I do miss my car...

Yep, until some guy wants to buy it and sees an accident history... You may want to see if your state has what is called "Diminished Value" Laws... Before you settle and sign closure documents on this...
The insurance companies wanted all this Carfax and salvage certificate in place to protect them and in the end, they need to start paying for the diminished values on the cars...
Advice in case this happens in the future:
IF you are hit and the other person is at fault and their insurance is paying 100% - YOU select the shop - NOT THEM!
You also have an option to go through your insurance and they will then have the other insurance pay your insurance. It SHOULD not show up on your insurance, but be careful here - mistakes can be made.
I had a total loss on a vehicle (wife was driving) by the other driver (100% their fault) and both companies were State Farm - I was VERY careful to make sure that all paperwork had their claim # on it, and not mine. Reason I started mine was that they were dragging their feet - thinking that the driver had the option to pay me directly to get it fixed... That is not the case. If I wanted to go through either my insurance company or theirs, it was my choice, not the drivers option.
Erie screwed me somewhat on an accident (wife driving again) when I had them. Sort of a long story, but in the end, their loser lawyers and settlement group would not settle on a medical claim for one of the person at $15K when he admitted previous condition. In the end, he went under the knife after we had a
$2.5M - yes, that would be $2,500,000 ($1,000,000 of it was for non performance in the sack filed by his wife!) lawsuit filed just under 3 years after a fairly minor accident.
We met with Erie Lawyers, and after leaving I hired my own to get involved.
In the end, the guy settled out of court after surgery (he made it through thank goodness) for about $75,000.
6 months later, Erie called me to say that they may drop us because of excessive payouts on the car insurance!!! What balls!!!
I dropped them.
