My opinion of the Nokya 55W 9006/HB4 7000K Arctic White bulbs (stage 1) in the fogs

I just installed Nokya 7000K Arctic White 55W bulbs in the foglights of my 06 TL and I find the output to be way too blue.

I chose those bulbs after doing a search about the Nokya Arctic White bulbs here.

With just the headlights on (stock HID bulbs), everything is fine. Whites look white, but as soon as I turn on my foglights, whites have a blue hue. I don't like it.

I'm gonna reconsider getting Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's. Anyone else experience this? Any other 55W bulbs to try that aren't as blue as the Arctic Whites?

And no, I'm not going to install HID bulbs in there and blind people on the road. The roads around here aren't flat.

Silverstar Ultra's are perfect for me

I just swapped in a set of Silverstar Ultra's and they're perfect for me. Much brighter than the Nokya's. The light from the Silverstar's compliments the factory HID's.

JnC has been recommending the Silverstars as the best match for our fogs for some time. I'm glad you like them, too.
My GF runs them in her 06 Accord (as the main headlights) and is very happy with them too.

I would look at Hoen Xenonmatch. They're pretty white, about 4300K. PIAA makes Intense White at 4100K, but they will be more money the Hoen.

Anyone here has them installed in their 07-08 TL?

I alternate between Hoen Xenonmatch and Nokya Plasma Yellow in my 08 TL-S (H8). The Hoen's are not blue at all (when lit up). They are noticeably whiter than the stock bulbs. You won't be able to match exactly your current HIDs, unless you retrofit your fogs with HIDs. But the Hoens will get you close.

How much brighter are they on the road (Silverstar Ultra or Hoen)? I do a lot of night driving on backroads and need a bit more light on the shoulders.

More light requires more wattage, but I would not put higher watt bulbs than what's recommended, or you may melt something. Stick with color temps between 4100k - 4700k to get the most out of the stock wattage. The brand shouldn't really matter. If it's a quality bulb, rated at 35Watts (for example), rated at 4300k, Silverstar, Hoen, PIAA, HELLA or Raybrig, they all "should" look the same. It's the color temperature that makes some bulbs look brighter, but in reality they all put out the same 35 Watts. If you really want to light up the road with your fogs, you'll need to look into high quality HID retrofit lights with projector lenses. Cheap HIDs will be bright, but you won't be able to focus the beam where you need it. The light will splatter all over, most likely blinding other motorists. Just my two pennies.

Changing the fogs with the Hoen Xenonmatch 9006 was the first thing i did, they look great a night do match like it says only thing i dont like is in the daylight the suns rays/light makes the fogs look blue like when you get bulbs that are painted blue. Im sure there is a word for this, that is the only thing i dont like from them as i would have liked to keep the headlight as clear as possible.
