my new tl

Two weeks ago I picked up my 05 tl navi 6speed aspec suspension, ssm, ebony. Love the car so far. Im trying to break it in so Im taking it easy. I have about 600 miles and I do get about 19 to 20 mpg. Is that what you guys get? I wonder what gas milage I will get once I start driving normaly. Most of it its city driving.

Welcome and congratulations.

Your gas mileage will definitely depend on your driving conditions and driving habits. If you drive in traffic constantly you might get 16mpg, if you drive on the interstate for a long distance you could get 30mpg. If you have a lead foot your mileage will go down.

There are so many variables that you will just have to drive it a bit and determine your mpg over a longer period of time. If you live in Chicago, or nearby, 19-20 sounds reasonable.

I've got 800 miles on my 05 and my mileage stats are similar. Don't break it in too easy. Give it some bursts in second gear using SportShift just to make sure everything seats well...

In city driving I am getting 19 mpg constantly....and I don't drive conservatively. I have about 4700 miles on the car now. On the highway for about a 100 mile trip I got 27-28 mpg....also not driving conservatively. Needless to say I am pretty pleased with the gas mileage thus far.
