My MT Fluid Experience...
Like everyone else on here, I changed my MT fluid last year to the GM stuff. Great "mod". Enough said. Well I wanted to change the fluid out again and since I was scheduled for back surgery in two days, I couldn't do it myself. So I went over to my local Amsoil dealer and they changed my fluid to Amsoil Synthetic. I drove the car for two day before my surgery. One was a 70 degree day and as north Texas weather would have it, the next day was 34. All I can say is that the Amsoil was smoother than the GM on the warmer weather day, but when it got down to the mid-thirtys, the Amsoil fluid made it hard to shift into the bottom 2 gears (up or down). It wasn't impossible, but it wasn't nearly as smooth. Overall, I guess it depends on where you live. SoCal, TX, FL, AZ boys, you should give the Amsoil some consideration. Northeast, GM all the way. Either way, they're both good products. I know this subject has been beat to death, but I hope this helps someone.

It occurs to me that sounded rude - not intended.
Use those terms and you'll get several good threads. "Syncromesh Friction Modified".
