My First S2K Kill
So once again, just cruising in the vette with the top down on the highway when a bald guy smoking a cigar (also with his top down) in a black AP2 S2K with an exhaust (dont know what else--sounded like an intake too) rolls up next to me with a big grin. I look at him and he tells me to slow down so we get a run. I slow down about 45 mph and I give 3 honks. Son-of-a-gun jumped on my 2nd honk, but it was fine. I reeled him in about 10-15 mph later and then began putting lengths on him. I slow down and he pulls up next to me and gives me a thumbs up. He tells me that sucker is fast. At least he was a good sport.

I dont pick on anybody bud. People come looking for vette and once in a while when I see there's something interesting, they get what they ask for. You try driving around in my Vette and see all the people that want to race you or show how fast their car is. Frankly, it's fu*king annoying. The one thing I kind of hate about being relatively young and driving a Red Vette Convertible.

Try taking on an S2000 on a road with some twists and turns, it'll be a different story.

I don't think the s2k dude was trying to win....I think he just wanted to see the Vette in action.....some people on this forum do that too...they try to race 911's, M5's etc just for shxt and giggles.

^ and so it begins
oh and a Z51 would NOT get smoked by an S2000. C6 Z51s are somewhat close to C5 Z06s when it comes to handling, and C5 Z06s autocross in the same class as the Elise/Exige which are MUCH lighter and compact which gives them a huge advantage in a tight course.
doesn't change the fact that OP is a tool, but yeah. the more you know!

You need to get an LSx motor in SOMETHING. As we talked about, I had an RSX-S before. Although I loved it, it sets you up to be able to drive another 6-speed w/ bigger power. Once you have torque, you will not go back

CRAZY FOLLOW-UP: So I was coming back from the mall when a bald guy in a big black Toyota Tundra pulls up to me at a light. He sticks his head out smiling and asks me if I smoked anybody in that thing. It didnt hit me at first that it was him (lol....he looked like a cop) and I said "no." Then it hit me and I yelled out "no way." He kept smiling and the light turned green and he took off. I can't believe it...........

Burning Brakes
I auto-x a bit and I've seen stock and modified C6 Z51/Z06s and S2000s in action. What the C6 chassis is capable of is pretty amazing. There's quite a bit of difference between that and the old C5. With that said, the numbers are pretty close between the two cars. The S2000 is a little more composed and the Vette is a bit more like a sledge hammer.
