My First Post... Long Time Reader/Fan
I've been reading and getting pointers for my Acuras for several years from this site and ALL of you guys rock. From those who are helpful, those who don't make the correct efforts to read and find the info (sometimes just have to word it differently), and those who help with a piss poor attitude.
Just wanted to say hello to everyone and hopefully I don't become "That Guy" who asks questions that have been answered.
@rockstar143, been following your post for a while .. dude you're everywhere lol.. and always providing helpful hints and links. Hope to link up 4/14/13.
Many other guys on here that are helpful but rockstar143 stands out.
----
Ok, now to the Acura.. My girl, Silver Shadow, I'm starting to do some upgrades and conversions to her and with all that I read with the DIY, looks like I'm going to have fun doing most of it myself.
I've done some work with the notorious bluetooth failure did some adjustments to get it to work. But with all the work i'm putting into it, I think I will eventually get a new one.
Radio Amp, needs to be replaced which I have but not giving me the sound that I was looking for. And no I don't want an aftermarket amp, not too fond of all the boom, I'm past that stage where I need that loud of music in my car. That's back in my '73 Impala days.
Just purchased tail lights and soon to buy headlights to modify. Will PM @AckTL05 soon enough to mod.
Lastly, Non-Navi to Navi conversion.... This is what I'm most looking forward to and hope this will be the most fun before, during, and after project.
Doing some shopping for parts now so hopefully I can get it done before years end.
FYI: WTB 07-08 Navi (full system), and 4th Gen Rims (I love the way it looks).
Thanks again AZiners

Welcome and gl with the mods.
I've never dared to touch the navi conversion but I wish you luck. I'm guessing my the naming that you have an ASM. Same color as mine . I'm not actually a huge fan of silver but it's grown on me. I had the bluetooth issue too. I ended up removing the module altogether since I never use it and it was draining the battery.

Welcome, awesome screen name...and thanks for the shout out, man.
Don't worry, we were all noobs at one point TRUST ME! I cringe every time I look back at my old posts.
You have quite a list put together! The reason You've seen me on the forum so much is because I've had pretty much every issue you've mentioned, and then some. It's a labor of love, but even to this day...to get the compliments and to love looking back at the car...it's all worth it.
Welcome, sounds like you'll be right at home here.

Welcome, and after enough driving with the windows down or roof retracted and trying to hear the stereo you will come around to an aftermarket amp. its inevitable

the wheels look nice on the 3G. my only concern would be the adaptor and the stress it would place on the axles (since you plan on combining with spacers, essentially a custom adaptor to fit the wheels).
go for it! i'm too paranoid about other stuff breaking (plus i've already gone through a set of axles on OEM spec'd 18's and a measly 5mm spacer to clear the brembos on stock suspension). those 4G TL wheels might actually look really nice on my MDX...and they fit without an adaptor.

^^my axles starting going around 42k miles...replaced at 50k. remember i'm also one of the few original owners left, so i know all the history of my TL...including how she's driven. he he. i really dont' drive the car THAT hard...i'm nicer to the engine than i am to my tires (i like cornering )...which i know can be hard on the axles.

almost identical here...and my stepdad was original owner, but I also picked the car for him and always had the plan to buy his lease out. I replaced oem axles around 40K also. I think these cars just aren't huge fans of the angles that lowering them puts the axles at.

only changed mine once. i'm only at 57k mi on my TL (low mileage, garage queen club these days). my axles were replaced back in november of 2010 at 50k.

Welcome and @ your name dude!
Undying Dreams (Austin) is the little brother you like to pick on. Nothing's wrong with him. You should read his thread and Rockstar's thread (i'm sure you have already) and there's a bunch of poking fun at and gread updates in the build thread.
JustnSpace is a postwhore. He's another cool person on a-zine.

I'd rather let them watch out for me...my environment is too hostile for them to thrive in.
I got this little shimmy after lowering on tein ss...this was at around 40k. I replaced with OEM axles that one time, and I'm at 92K now and still going strong.
