My 2005 TL MT...NBP
So yes I'm 51 (old fart but fit can bench 300 and squat 400, waist 36")...lol, on that note I have the male meno...pause and want a 370Z, wifey says that is a car full of issues out of the box and I will regret it.
I have fallen out of love with the TL....wifey works from home so I drove all her vehicles ,2003 Element, after the 2005 Odyssey, after the 2007 Rubicon and recently the 2010 Unlimited Ford Edge...(fully loaded) up until she was diagnosed with breast Cancer and now she uses it 100 % of the time ( so now she uses the Edge to get to and from treatments so I'm driving the TL 100% again).
My TL has the AEM CAI, short shifter, summer tires (non navy) and basically fits my needs but the new car smell is gone and with only 45K on the odometer I'm considering trading it or just selling it out right.
I see lots of threads of new members buying "used" TL's and paying top dollar which IMHO is great as the TL is a trouble free car....help me decide what to do...thanks for reading this thread as boring as it is... any suggestions as to what mods will make me love the TL again....

Honestly,
for me... if you aren't in love with your car then it's gonna be a steep uphill battle to get to that point.
but if it helps each and every one of my mods (aesthetics wise) made me stop, smoke a cig, and stare at the TL like a creep
The ones that stand out more:
Lower the car
New wheels
Cleared/blacked out Headlights
A-Spec kit
Tint
Exhaust/exhaust tips (I know technically falls under Performance) but the stock OEM ones are non-appealing to me
I just installed Supercomputer Pedals* <--- gorgeous
I'm just rambling but it's what I think/feel.
Hope it helps

sorry to hear that about your wife.
As for the TL, I definitely recommend the following mods, which maybe similar to Souljah's.
1) A-Spec lip kit - trust me this will make one of the biggest difference at how you look at your car.
2) Tein Super Street suspension or the base a-spec suspension. Dropping it will make a big difference in terms of handling and the overall looks of your car.
3) Some nice light JDM rims (Work/Volk), makes it better looking and performs well if you get light rims.
4) A catback exhaust (ATLP base/Comptech) are my ideal choices. Pricey, but well worth it. If you dont like too much noise, get the comptech.
5) Black out / Clear out the headlights
6) Progress rear sway bar and a TypeS front sway bar, if you wish to get the best handling and cornering advantages.

Sorry to hear about your wife as well...
Personally I would get the 370Z...reason why I see 10 TLs per day and maybe 1 370Z a week. They also look like baby Vipers to me

Best of luck to you and your wife. If you aren't in love with it anymore, then you shouldn't keep it. You sound like an enthusiast and should enjoy what you drive. I say you should go for the 370Z!

Sorry to hear about your wife as well. My younger brother has cancer too (Non-Hodgskins Lymphoma). Life is too short...got for the Z.
