My '06 TL vs a Lincoln MKZ (nope, not a race story)
I've had an interest in the MKZ since the new ones came out in 2013, so there was one near me for sale at a CarMax like place (actually, CarSense in Mt. Holly, NJ). The dealer was nice enough to let me try it out, no pressure, and I really liked it:
-decent power for a turbo 2.0L 4 cylinder (although the 3.2 is a little quicker)
-handled and drove very well
-love the look:

Anyway, after trying it out (I've more recently been thinking about what I would get in place of the TL if I had to replace it because of an accident or the like) I drove the TL home.
Once I got back in the TL, I realized how nice the TL is in terms of the ride and handling. As usual, I have no doubt there are better cars out there, but for it's age and mileage (112K), it still is a great car. I'm not selling it any time soon.

MKZ looks nice. Always catches my eye when I see them on the road. I thought (mistakenly) they were hybrid
What bothers me is such a nice design yet they couldn't integrate the antennae on the rear fender.... looks like 1980s stick on...

The 2014 and 2015 have the antenna on the trunk lid near the rear window so they got rid of the antenna (which is a good thing).

I'm a big fan of those new MKZs. I think they look awesome.

I've been eyeing the MKZ since the new body style came out, and it seems like a swell car. Based on the Fusion, which is a pretty solid car. Push button shifter is weird. Depreciation on Lincolns is bad--won't be worth a quarter what you paid for it in 5-10 years.
More likely replacement car for me: Cadillac ATS. Better power out of the 2.0t (or 3.6), smaller overall package and killer suspension setup. GM's are also very easy to tune. Diablo tuner gets you 30hp and 50tq over stock with no hardware changes. Not bad for $400

Don't Cadillacs reap sale value plummet as well? I must agree though, the ATS is a sharp looking car.

If I ever do get one, it'll be CPO with the 7 year/100K warranty (I would never buy new unless there was an insane cut in price vs MSRP for new) and (hopefully) a low APR when it comes time to buy.

The guy I bought my TL from was selling it had an MKZ. I've never driven it but its defitnely a sharp looking car interior and exterior. One of those cars that really only looks good in black.
