Mr. Clean Auto Wash

I'm a sucker for a gimmick but I added up all the money I was spending at the coin op car wash and this seemed like a bargain at $19.95. Autozone has a $5 rebate which makes it $14.95

I washed my TL for the 4th time with this last weekend and it works great. Although, instead of the car wash concentrate supplied, I use half Z7 and half distilled water in it.

There are two things this thing does that make it worth the money: First, it sprays the soap out evenly and saves you from using a bucket. I just spray the soap on and use a mitt on it, quickly rinse and go to the next section. Second, it filters the minerals out of the water for a carwash like spot free rinse.

The one drawback is the fact that the filter cartridge costs $5. It says it is good for 10-12 washes, but with the hard water in Phoenix it probably good for more like 5 washes. Still, at a buck a wash, it beats 5 bucks at the coin op and I don't have to drive anywhere to do it. Plus, I figure when it gets dusty I can just hit with the spot free rinse easily at home.

You got it Jogan. I think its a good product and it works great. Just keep in mind the filters used to filter out minerals only last 4 to 5 washes with hard water and cost five bucks each.

I saw a three-pack of the filters at wal-mart (Damn you wal-mart! I hate you but I must go there to seek out the bargains!!!) for I think, $9.98 or $10.98. I can't emember which but they were out of the wash kit. All they had on the shelf were the filters. Ofcourse they probably had ten more cases of the kits back in the receiving area.

I used it on my TL this week and the Mr. Clean ain't worth it. My car had plenty of water spots after soaking it down with the filtered water as directed. I am calling them on their guarantee and returning it for a refund.

Are you using it properly/as directed?

I've used it on 3 different vehicles and am amazed at how well it works...

Their web site has an offer for $5 off coupons, but says it will take 4-6 weeks for delivery They should have just provided on-line printable coupons.
