Drive at highway speed limit, instead of 15 above .
Try to minimze stop and go traffic
Make sure tires are not underinflated
Use cruise control when driving on empty highways
Reduce any heavy and unnecessary items in the trunk
Don't use the a/c unless it's really needed
Check your plugs and air filter
Minimize fast stops and starts

what you neeed is a newer car......

I'm not joking.... every year since 04, Acura made small changes to the TL, even the engine... these changes could have increased the MPG.... plus... the more miles on a car.... the less MPG.... it's just due to shit that accumulates in the engine.... or so I've heard...

what... are you... talking... about?

Do the seafoam treatment, filter has nothing to do with MPGs, make sure tires are at 36-40 PSI especially in the winter. Stop redlining your car, or braking your car like you're about to hit someone.

My car has 124000 miles and it still gets good gas mileage.

My '04 gets 32 on the highway at 75. In town I am lucky to see 18.

If I were you I would do the Seafoam treatment. I will do this once I have the time/memory to do it during an oil change...

My MPG can get to as low as 14 if I'm straight up city driving (25-30 mph speed limits, stop signs and signals everywhere), but on the freeway-- downhills included, I reached 38 MPG earlier today. Combined and realistically, I probably get around 22 MPG.

Champ,

Will running upwards of 40psi cause uneven wear of the tires ? I recall reading in the past that the center section will wear out faster.

The center section wears out faster if the tire is over-inflated. However, I've run low profile tires @ 40psi with no wear issues.
