As copter sez, the TL doesn't support MP3.
And, DVD-RW may not entirely solve your problems either. From a posting that I started here a few days ago, I was told that the TL will read a DVD-R or DVD-RW (don't know about DVD+R or DVD+RW). However, I was also notified that the DVD-R needs to be burned to follow the DVD-A specification, which requires special software (DiscWelder Steel is the cheapest available package, and is currently on "special" for around $400. Most other DVD-A burning software is $1000+)
Sigh.

I am thinking of adding an additional CD changer in the trunk that will play MP3s and will use an FM Modulator to connect to the system. The sound is compromised, but will be good enough for MP3s.
I see the new JVC 12-disc changer for about $149 on eBay.

I have DiscWelder Steel and am quite happy with its capabilities.
I can get on one DVD-A what I used to need two MP3 CDs to store (at 320kbps).
I've even found various freeware +commercial signal processing software that allows me to put DTS CDs onto DVD-A in 44.1kHz 5.1 surround. The transcoding compute time is long, but the results are top notch.
The software was not cheap but it does exactly what it claims to do, and it was less than Acura charges for their very bare bones add-on MP3 player for the TSX.

Who's not missing MP3 playback anymore.
