Moved out of the TL and into my new 335i Coupe: Impressions
Everyone said to let them know when I moved into the new car, so here you go. Got it a couple days ago. I'm pretty excited.
You may remember my previous thread about me saying good by to my TL (she will be missed) to my new BMW 335i coupe. Funny thing is I bought it in Long Beach and had to brave the infamous 405 on the way home, which doesn't bother me normally, but I was nervous driving the new car. Not ten minutes on the freeway and some asshole is trying to race me in his Audi A4. LOL. Then later when I was almost home, another A4 pulls up to me at a stop light and started giving me dirty looks. I guess, it's like the old Chevy vs. Ford thing, but BMW vs. Audi.
Impressions: Drives great, it feels so balanced, and handles really well. I don't care what anyone says. This car is fast, way faster than the TL. I definately like the feeling of being pushed than pulled when accelerating. The gear box is good, the TL's was better. The clutch in the bimmer is leaps and bounds above the TL's touchy clutch. The torque on the car is amazing, can pass easily in 6th gear on the freeway. All the car magazines, say that there is no noticeable turbo lag. I think there is, it's slight, but it's there. Other than that it's an amazing engine.
Size wise it's a def downgrade... The TL had way more head room in the back the leg room is pretty good in the 3 series, but the TL has a bit more.
The Logic 7 stereo in the BMW is better than the TL. I know the TL has a great system, but the logic 7 sounds so much better to me.
Navigation is another story. I miss the touch screen in the TL. The BMW iDrive/Navigation boots up in like 2 seconds compared to the TL's slow ass 20 second boot time, and it calculates routes real quickly. The TL's interface was way easier to use though and better overall, but I think I can learn to live with the BMW's navigation.
Anyway, here are some crappy pics I took, I'll take better ones when I get a chance.
