I test drove an 07' type-S MT today and I have to say that car didn't feel like it had the power to accelerate. I currently own a 05' TL MT and I notice a big difference between the two. I can't say I timed it or anything like that but I can feel the power the 05' has when I am accelarating and the power the 07' had. I just felt like the engine was revving higher and producing slightly less acceleration.

In my 05' I can do 80MPH at 2800 RPMs while the 07' at the same speed was at 3400 RPMs. The lower gears, 1st and 2nd, were revving high at lower speeds which I did not care for and during downshifts the engine did not break as much as I thought it would to slow down the car as compared to my 05'. I know this is not the best way to compare the two vehicles but I just thought I'd offer this up. Personally I feel there was less hp than advertised on the type-S.

I'll probably need to go take another test drive on another Type-S to be sure but I drove that one 07' twice and got the same response.

You are comparing it to the car that hasn't gone through breakin-in yet. What do you expect on a fresh metals that haven't been well seated. Bring your car over to my place and I will race ya. Mine is broken in, and I will beat you left and right. ouchie!!
