Most miles
My 04 Acura TL has 200K miles on it. I am wondering who has more miles on their car. Please reply. I am thinking of re tinting the car. It it wise for a car with so many miles?

Please look around a bit. There's a thread with a ton of pages regarding exactly hold many miles people have on their TL.

I think it's a bad idea to retint with those miles..

It's true.. in fact, the old tint might be the only thing holding your window together. Soon as you peel it off it's only time before it disintegrates from all the UVees.

I think you just need to buy a new car OP.. Replacing the windows is just absurdly expensive.

Not only that, but if you get new windows you also have to get new tracks. Who wants to put a new window in an old, worn out track? But then that creates another problem since the new tracks will be shiny and clean, and the rest of the components inside the door will be dull and dirty. That's not a good thing for the old stuffs confidence so they will probably break on you out of jealousy of the new tracks. So basically you need a whole new door if you are going to do this right. But who the hell wants new doors on an old car? Just buy a new car and tint that.

Are you guys trollin? I just bought a Acura TL CBP 08 with 175k miles on it on 1/7/15 and was seriously considering getting tints until I saw this thread. I only got my plates today but loving the car already!!

yes we are. Whether tint is worth it is entirely up to you. If you are going to drive the car for a long time and you will enjoy it more with tint and you can afford it, then go for it! My parents 05 has the same miles and they are planning on getting the bumper and hood repainted if not the whole car and re-tinting the windows too. It's all about your personal opinion and situation.

Anyone who has read the story of Irv Gordon and his Volvo knows it's worth doing the tint if that matters to you and if you plan to keep the car. You have a very long way to go to catch the mileage on his car, which is in the Guinness Book of World Records.

These are high performance racing machines. I'd follow rockstar143's advice and fill it with premium. Anything less than 91 octane wears out your windows faster and causes your tint to get bubbles.

I think he knows...
Honestly, I've heard lower will give you a knock. I haven't tempted fate though...I did do regular on my RSX during the Wilma because that's all they had in the tanker they were filling us up with at work...I do recall getting worse gas mileage and not liking the sound of the engine.
