More technical details needed - '08 mirror swap to '06 TL

Hi guys

I managed to get some nice OEM mirrors off of a 08. I'm going to do the install hopefully this weekend and although I read through SlimTL's DIY, I still have questions more or less related to the electrical side of things.

I'm not too comfortable mucking around with electrical stuff, but this seems simple enough.

1. Should I use IDCs (insulation displacement connectors) to tap into the rear turn signal wire? This might be a dumb question, but this seems to be the cleanest way to go about doing this. Any other suggestions?

2. Do you have to do this tap on >BOTH sides of the car?? I keep hearing that the driver side is already wired up on the 06's

3. I see the pink and black wire in his pics. It runs right into the plug. What color is the wire on the passenger side lol??

4. What gauge of wire should I use?

I will TRY to post some pics to complement SlimTL's DIY re. the wire tapping part, as well as anything else I think might be helpful

Also going to swap the tail lights I got from the same wreck.

Thanks, Rob
