Mmmmmm... Anthracite
The OEM knob screws off easily (after the first break) from what I understand. The MOMO bolts on.
I recommend, buy the MOMO. If it does not fit return it. Make sure you know the return policy. If you return it you will only be out like $10 for shipping.
Also search "shift knob" and PM some people who also asked about it. Maybe they have done it, or found out it can't be done.

Hey EggRoll....I've had 2 momo shift knobs and I used them on my 2001 TL, and 2002 TL-S...they come with rubber adapter rings that allow you to use them on almost any diameter shift knob. The only problem is the way they attach....they use 3 allen screws...and not the screw on method Honda uses...and it's tricky getting the 3 screws set properly...not impossible..just tricky....but there really isn't any reason you shouldn't be able to get it straight.....they make great shift knobs...and I liked my carbon fiber momo knob so well...that when I sold my 2002 TL-S, I kept the knob...and used it on my Honda DelSol...a 5 speed obviously..but just shows you how well they integrate with different cars and transmissions. I like the knob that came with my '04 TL 6mt better....so I used the Momo on the Honda...mabe some day...I'll try the carbon fiber Momo in the TL...just to see how it looks.
