Well i saw the current gen maxi from a few cars back and i quickly noticed his exhaust and the Injen sticker on his rear window. It was lowered and looked really nice. I followed him onto the highway and he took off on the onramp. I knew he wanted to play a lil bit so i got right behind him. We finally got some open space and lined up around 40mph, which is not where i wanted to be but oh well. we both took off and he quickly got a 1/2 car jump on me, but as soon as i hit Vtec i caught up and as soon as i shifted into 3rd i started pulling. I shut it off cause of traffic.

he came up next to me again, so i rolled down my window and gave him the as he did the same. I asked him what he had and if i heard him right he said intake and exhaust. and he proceeded to yell across the 2 lanes and ask me what i had. he complimented my car as i did his.

We lined up again around 50 which was alot better cause i was that much closer to vtec. we both took off and i instantly pulled 1/2 a car and kept pulling hard. we had a few more runs too pretty much the same result

Damn and all this 12 minutes ago, great story, I never knew people modded their Maximas, I mean they should've went with the faster car to begin with, Nissan Altima.

the only altima id ever drive would be the SER......but nissans defi steppin up their game

Excluding the new 4G Altima, there have been a few instances where the 6G Maxima has shown itself to be every bit as quick as the Altima V6.

I'm just not a big Nissan fan. Good work on the race. If I had to buy one either the Altima SER or the last gen Maxima, right before the current gen.

I like how the Altima SE-R looks. The maxima is ugly IMO...

Umm, the Altima is not faster than the Maxima. The SER maybe but not the 3.5.

But aside from that, nice race buddy.

The Altima is def fast but i dont trust the Handling. If Nissan work on it suspension and get rid of some of the plastic in and out of the car, ill def go for 1.

That's right, many people have modded their 4th gen maximas, but from 5th gen to the current 6th gen, I haven't seen many modded Altimas, even though they come with an availible 6spd manual.

I like the Altimas, a lot, they're the equivelant of the TL as far as performance, I think they're slightly faster though, but it's not by much really.

edit I meant I havent seen many modded maximas, 5th and 6th gen dont misinterprit

<----- had an 02 Maxima SE w/UR Pulley, Injen CAI & Cattman Y-pipe prior to selling the car two weeks ago. That said, the older the car the more likely it will have been modded. (read: warranty effectiveness)

I should have PM'd you before about that. I picked up an 07 Accord V6 EX-L sedan (w/Navi). The Maxima is still in the family but, it belongs to my wife's cousin now. NOTE: If you come across a gray 02 Maxima SE with ASA AR1 wheels traveling on 22 between Plainfield and Mountainside then, it is probably her.

That said, I guess we will hook up at the next TL/CL meet.
