Mixing Synthetics?

I currently have Mobil 1 in my car's engine and I'm due for an oil change. Should I continue to use M1 or would another synthetic be just fine? What about using dino to replace the M1? I'm having difficulty finding shops that use M1. I did my last oil change myself, but I don't have the ability to do that right now.

Any synth would be fine... Mobil 1 is a little better than most of the other major brands, Amsoil and Redline a little better yet, but they are all very good. A lot of places have Castrol GTX synth.

Yes, another synoil would be fine. But if it were me, I would go to Wally-Mart or a similar place and pick up 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a Purolator or Mobil filter and find a place that will do the change for a pittance. My place charges me $12 for the labor since I don't have a good place to do the changes myself any more.

This would be ideal for me. I still have a case of the M1 from the last time I changed my oil. I just don't have the ability to do it myself now.

If you trust Walmart techs, they do oil changes for something like $10 if you provide the oil and filter, I think. I got about 20 quarts of Motorcraft 5w20 syn-blend for $1/quart when Walmart had a clearance on a ton of their oil - different brands/weights.
