Miss my Type-S
Miss my Type-S
im away for a few months cross training at a training base. i took the commander down with me and really miss the TL. didnt make sense to bring the TL down here and leave the wife with the gas hog since the commander just sits here most of the time anyways.
man i miss rowing gears.

cons:
the only negatives about the commander i have would be the MPG and lack of cargo space for a mid sized SUV. it has nearly the same amount of cargo space as a GC, a bit more at best. so the size is deceiving. dont get me wrong, its the biggest vehicle i have personally owned and it has a good amount of space, but i thought it would have more given its size.
pros :
it has all the bells and whistles you have in an luxury SUV leather, nav/bluetooth/mygig, heated everything, sunroof up front, skylights in the rear, yet has locking differentials and a solid rear axle so it isnt a pansy off road. i dont rock climb it but i take it off road when im in the mood. it can actually tow our trailer with almost no effort (400tq, trailer sway control, tow package with trans cooler, etc.). I'm doing no justice to the amount of options the damn thing has. hill start and decent assist, rear a/c, rain sensing, auto high beams, auto/power liftgate, remote start, hell even the pedals are power adjustable.
a lot of complaints on the commander forum are from the v6 owners....keep in mind thats the same v6 that has issues lugging the liberty around. why the hell would you get it in the commander? it gets the same mpg as the HEMI, lol. i understand cost, but why not just get a hemi GC or a loaded liberty if you have to?
summary:
i have had ZERO maintenance issues. bought it with 22k miles on the clock and have put almost 9k on it. it is a true luxury truck i.e. - can go offroad, tow yet still a comfortable ride with all the bells and whistles inside.
