has anyone noticed that a lot of parts and accessories that you look up online say 99-04 model years even though the part doesn't fit our 3G cars. then you try e-mailing them about it and nothing gets done, this kind of pisses me off, what do you guys think.

You can e-mail ebay they would probably close it since it is misleading

 

For example, when I went to Autozone to buy an airfilter. It listed the 04' TL as using the same air filter as the 99-03' TL. (Even tho they were in separate columns, IIRC). I got suckered the first time, and discovered the filter does not fit.

I brought it back, and the guy at Autozone insisted it was the correct filter. I found this to be true for lots of parts....

Though I've noticed a lot of the parts manuals now list 06'+ with separate part numbers from the 04' or 05'. So now I try to use those when I cross-reference parts. So far it has worked.

 

oh yea Ive seen that I wouldnt trust those books or stores for filters for anything Id rather ride it out a few more days and order it form one of the online acura places
