mirror switch ambient lighting

mirror switch ambient lighting
I just noticed the mirror switch ambient light (letters L OFF R) for my '06 model doesn't light up during the night. is this a known problem for all the models ('04-'08)? Thanks.

I don't think it's a problem. Mine doesn't have lights. Only MIRROR lights up.
