Mileage on TL's
HI eveyrone.
I was just wondering, do you think 7000 mileage on a 7 month old 06 TL is alot? I keep thinking im driving it too muhc. I know im paranoid and all but isnt it bad if you put alot of miles on car, or a new car for that matter?

Its actually better for the car to be driven a bit then just to sit there. Cars are ment to be driven so dont worry at all your TL will do just fine.

One on the right for me
No. That is probably "average" if you can quantify that into something. Some people driver well over 2k a month, others not even 1k. Don't worry about it. If you leased it and have a yearly cap - that might be something to look into.

A month ago I sold 2006 Accord with a little over 18k on it. My one month TL has over 2000 miles. I have been poking with an idea of relocating closer to work and even started dreaming about 3-5 mil one way commute to work instead of 20+

I've had my 2005 TL for 1 year and 7 months and my odometer is currently reading 45,345. I have a 25 mile commute to work and my girlfriend lives down in Orange County (Irvine to be specific). It also doesn't help that I do canyon runs for fun.

If you enjoy your car as much as we all do here, does putting that many mileage on it really matter? If you plan on selling the car later if it's not a lease, then perhaps you would consider the mileage factor. Just enjoy the car for what it is.

My TL is just over 6 months old and I have 15,000 miles! I'll put on between 28K to 30K miles in a year no problem. Any Honda/Acura is perfect for this type of mileage. Don't worry.

That's nothing...I bought my TL end of July 2005 and parked it with less than 4000 on it last winter. I put over 16,000 on this summer in about 7 months. Now it's parked again for winter, so I can try and keep miles off her.

I have 10,400 on a new TL I purchased in the end of July; that doesn't include the 2,400 miles I put on the combination of loaner Tl's that I've gotten during that time. I wish I only drove 1,000 miles a month. I need to cut back on my driving!

I bought mine in April 2006. Present Mileage is 13,500 which included a couple vacation trips this summer. When I first got the car I took weekend day trips almost every weekend for a couple months. The cars just plain fun to drive.

Bought my 06 TL back in July and I already have little over 8k on it. It makes me cry that I drive about 2k a month. I guess driving 150mi every 2-3weeks has been taking a toll on my ride. Not to mention the 700mi round trip to San Fran and back. Other than that its the smoothist ride EVER! Ive plan on keeping this car until the wheels fall off so milage shouldnt matter but I do wanna keep the miles down a bit so when I do decide to trade in or sell I can get a good price.

I've got a 2004 w/ 31000......with doing some research I found out that the average milage for an 04 is 43000.... whick is about alittle under 14400 a year so I guess you can base your car on that.

'04 TL three years old this month with 11,000 miles .....
since I work from home now. I used to put 50,000 on one in two years and get a new one. Now I'm waiting for an '09 Fourth Generation TL. I'll probably have about 20,000 on my '04 trade-in.

The cars are made to be driven. Whether you drive it or park it, it will depreciate. It isn't an asset. Just have fun with them - they were built for that SOLE purpose.
