Perhaps a silly question, but when did your MID trigger and alert you to go into the dealer for maintenance for your first oil change? I'm just over 6000 miles and my Oil Change info is reading "< 20%". I wanted to take it in when required, but I'm getting worried as the readout went from 30% to a "<" reading....should I wait it out or am I just being paranoid?

 

It does that on all TL's...you should just wait till it gets to <5% or after that, it will say something like SERVICE DUE SOON in orange letters, so then you can get the oil changed then...

on another note, some people prefer to change their oil before the break in period but that's a whole different story...lol...

if you want to follow the MID's instructions then i would have to say that don't worry about it...it's all good...it will tell you when you need to get your service...the "less than sign" --- < ---- just indicates that you have reached a certain point where you need to pay more attention to the MID for the oil change so that way you don't miss an oil change...no biggie...
