Metal Garnish scratch

After getting my oil changed I noticed a slight small scratch on my metal garnish near the driver side. Pics are below.

Now, I know I probably don't need to post a thread on this but I'm pretty anal and was wondering if I can possibly remove it?

The part is over $100 to replace and was hoping I can use maybe Optimum Metal Polish to remove the scratch?

BTW I cannot feel the scratch and when going over it is smooth. TIA.

the scratch will not come off, it seem that that paint is just a cover over the plastic piece itself. my question is if it scratch so bad then why you don't take it out and do carbon fiber wrap it instead, my start to scratch couple of place too.

I figured it wouldn't come out with a polish.

It just sucks because I know I didn't do it and must have been the person changing my oil as it wasn't there before I dropped it off. Thanks for the feedback.

It's not plastic, it's metal...

sorry man...doesn't take much to scratch those things.

wrap your interior in CF vinyl, $30.

I've seen the pictures of your interior with the two tones of cf vinyl. Looks great. My question is did you remove all your interior pieces to vinyl them or were you able to leave some pieces in your car? I've been wanting to vinyl but I'm not sure if i wanna pull parts out or not.

I removed everything and wrapped individually. it's the only way to properly do it.

it's only a couple screws to remove the necessary parts. you'll be fine.

Have you ever taken it off? It's definitely plastic. If you take it off and look at it you will see that it is plastic underneath the metal cover
