We are bothing rolling start from a red light, I was about half a car length behind, then I decide to smash the gas to see if he will bit, and he did, right after he heard my mighty v6 "roar", he floored the gas too, so the result is Im trailing behind him half car length all the way up until ~70-89 mph. And then after that we both merged onto I-75, so then the whole time we are just playing catch up on the highway, it pulls really nice on high speed too, unlike TL, which craps out in the higher ranger.

It should be the opposite. The TL should get stronger in the high range and the AWD silverado SS should be the one crapping out in the top end. They don't trap over 90MPH stock in the 1/4 mile where the TL should be trapping around 94MPH in Automatic form.

Are you serious? I feel like my TL is out of juice trying to go like say, from 80-110mph, and definitely not as a strong of a pull comparing to from 20-50mph. And when I'm ahead of the SS, while doing 100mph+, I always see him pulling up on me steadily.

I have no idea, pretty deep toned mufflers.

0-60mph: 6.7s
1/4mile : 15.1@90.5mph

But..if it was modded like this:
http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/te...mes/index.html

I believe the SS Silverados have the Corvette motor in them. I have a buddy who drives one ... they're pretty fast for a truck.

No corvette motor in that. It has the Cadillac Escalade Motor. 6.0L 345HP with a 4AT and AWD.

Yeah, also weighs about 5,700lbs so the power to weight ratio isn't great. The best I've seen a typically modded SS (intake, exhaust, PCM, headers) pull at my track was a 14.6@93mph. They're just too heavy, but the race sounds about right for a modded SS vs a stock 5AT TL.

4th gear sucks in the 5At TL's.

That's why you have to get a manual./..

^ I was running with a modded one the other day. I held my own but by 100mph he walked away and around 105-110 when I shifted to 4th(ss mode)I knew I'd never catch up. We slowed down(50mph) and done a couple of more runs and I'd always get a couple of cars on him before 85-90 then It would be all over by 110. I hate pushing my car past 110 so I rarely do it. At least this guy was fair enough to slow dow and give me fair chances. I'm bone stock by the way 07 non type s.
