I was 4 houses down to my home. Anyways, I saw the Mercedes Benz Gl450 24 feet away and notice he was sliding and was oh crap. So I turned of the VSA and gunned the car into someone drive way and hopefully I got up his driveway to avoid the guy in the Mercedes yet the guy did hit my car. The benz front bumper scrap my rear bumper as his front fender broke my rear taillight and there's a lil chip of paint. Well just thank god for my immediate reaction to drive up the driveway. The Benz could have taken my rear driver side out. It could have been much worse.

When we got out of the car the guy totally said it was his fault. He dropped his phone on the floor and tried to pick it up but once he looked up he was sliding and saw me coming. He couldn't do anything by the time he looked up he was already sliding on the curve. I was so piss when I got out of the car but I was very calm. He said it was his fault then we proceeded to the police station to file a report . Well thank god that we both have the same insurance company.

Anyways I drew a picture . The Mercedes is the red SUV and the black car is mine.

if he reverse im pretty sure he would messed up his transmission.

he was going at a certain rate of speed. by then if he stoped and reverse he wouldve been hit already. accident happens in milliseconds

Scary situation though. My neighborhood too has a lot of turns that I'll instantly start sliding on if I'm going >10MPH when there's snow/ice on the ground. I'm surprised the GL was sliding though. My dad has one and its complete a tank in the snow.

 

^Well it might fare well in snow, but ice over is a different story. Anyways this sucks, but atleast it wasn't as bad as it could've been...
