Meguiars NXT streaking?

I started using NXT on my new TL and put about 3 coats on (over time). I started noticing very light streaks on the car in the sun. It first looked like swirl marks or the fine scratches you sometimes get but when I ran my finger over the streaked area, it came off. I know the NXT was dry before I wiped it off and I noticed the streaks also after I washed the car and went over it with the Quik Detailer spray. Anyone else have this problem?

Because of the streaking I said screw it and switched to Zaino which I use on my Camaro. Too bad because the NXT looked pretty good (except for the streaks), it was easy to use and relatively cheap and easy to get.

Have used NXT on my TL and there are no streaks. Are you using clean towels to wash.dry and polish the car very time. Even small durst particles can cause streaks.

Becuase it comes of it sounds like is some sort of residue, either from not removing all of the NXT or from something else.

After I finish polishing or waxing the car, I go over the entire car with a concours buffing towel, that will get anything that I missed.

I agree with this. I found the NXT did not dry as thoroughly as Zaino does. So I went over it twice buffing it out, then used Zaino Z6 (that's what I had laying around) and went over it with that. That took all the "streaking" haziness out and left it looking great.

Yes, I always use clean 100% cotton towels. Like I said, I noticed the streaks even after I washed with Zaino car wash and went over the whole car with Meguiars Quik Detailer.

Neither. Remember, I've been a Zaino user for years so I know the correct procedure for applying it very thin and letting it dry thoroughly.

the NXT says let dry for 10-15 minutes but i usually let it sit for at least 30mins. and if you are doing it in the sun(which is a detailing no-no) then it might not dry as fast or at all. no streaks with the NXT at all.

I noticed the NXT needs to really be rubbed off well. I thought I got all of mine off, but, the next day the car was attracting dust like crazy to the areas I did not go over well enough to remove it all. I have an Abyss Blue TL for reference.

Yea, that's the first thing I noticed about the NXT. The first time I used it I drove the car and found dust/dirt clinging to the bottom of the rocker panels. I went over it with Quik Detailer and that seemed to help.

Zaino Z6 has anti-static solution in it and helps reduce duct attraction. I think I'll just stick with the Zaino products.

I told a friend of my that I would wax his new T-bird for him if he bought me a steak dinner so I may try the NXT on his red T-bird and see how it does.

I just got my 04 Anthracite TL...and it's my first go-around with Zaino. I really have to say that this stuff is easy to use...and it's as good or better than any other carnuba wax product i've tried with my other cars. The stuff is just really easy to use....and that's the best part of using it.
