Me vs Acura Legend

I had a quick run with a Legend up to 90 but couldn't pull on him at all. He had an intake and exhaust or muffler. The Legend was pretty ghetto weapon R intake which he made known with the license plate frame and stickers. I'm shocked I couldn't pull on him at all through 3rd gear. I might just screw the springs for now and get the pulleys a.s.a.p.

<-----I have a TL-S now and I only had him by 1/4 car, I figured once I rode out 3rd gear till about 6500 rpm I would of pulled on him but it never happened so I had to put in 4th and it just pretty much leveled out.

Legend GS models have 230hp Type-II engines. The TL-S should be faster but the Legends were quick.

Type II motor = C32A5 (found in Legend LS coupes and GS sedans) had either 4 speed auto or 6 speed manual

Type I motor = C32A6 (found in the other Legend models and 1st gen TL)

You have to hold 3rd gear out to 7100 RPMs. You CANNOT shift into 4th without getting near the rev limmiter in 3rd. Regardless if it was a Type II, you should have pulled on him.

A type II with a 6 speed is pretty quick. Equal to a 5AT IMO. Remember powertrain losses and better torque down at low RPM's

^^^^I agree, actually I would bet on the legend 6spd in a race as long as the driver of the legend were a good one.

94 Acura Legend GS Sedan Type S.

And yes it was a Type S haha.

The C32 powerplant is a stout engine.

Nice ride! Guys correct me if am I wrong, but I am pretty sure there was never a Legend Type S. Anyways do you have a 6spd? You list of mods is impressive and youhave CT SC I see, have you dyno'd your car or brought it to the track?

Thanks man! Haha I was just kidding with the Type S badge! Acura didn't develop the Type S marketing concept until the introduction of the TL and CL type S. So me and my happy ass decided to label my Legend as a Type S. I didnt see anything wrong with it being that it had the Type II motor underneath the hood. That legend had the 4 speed auto tranny.

As for the TL its been supercharged for 2 weeks now and havent had any time to dyno or track time. I will eventually.
