May come to Acura... from Jaguar - Details and questions
I had an accident in the Jag and it is probably totaled. Black Ice. I hate it. No one else was involved, the damage was caused from a fence.
I walked away without a scratch. No one else was in the car or around when the accident happened.
Anyhow, I am researching for a new car just in case the car does get written-off. I only say that it probably is based upon the evaluations of others and that there is probably chassis damage. Moreover, Jag parts are very expensive and depreciation on the X-Type is massive. So the cost to repair/actual cash value ratio may not be very good.
I want a different car. The TL seems to be a fun car, sporty, more features than the Jag standard. I live in the Metro DC area but am willing to have a car shipped in or drive to somewhere within a few hours to get the car, but what prices are you typically seeing?
Please give me your opinions and impressions on driveability, practicality, technology.
Thanks.
BTW, I am looking at the 05' or if they have any, 04' models.

welcome, glad to hear that you were able to walk away from the accident. i have a 05 TL with navi and paid $33,250 before tax, title, etc.. so you should expect around this same ball park range. i highly doubt you will be able to get a 04 now but hey, you never know. the drive is great, not bmw quality since its a fwd car. the technology is way above every one else, bluetooth, voice act, dvd-a audio, etc.. one of the reason's why i picked the TL over the g35, 330, es330, etc.. is because its bigger (more practical for me since i need a 4 door car) and also get the bang for buck. no options except for the navi. shop around and test drive all the cars youre interested in. then make your decision. good luck

Aw1 gives you a pretty good synopsis of the price & features. I ended up going to Lancaster PA in October when I couldn't get a good deal locally-- $32,873 for an '05 with navi. Locally I've seen competitive prices at Karen Radley in Woodbridge; some people here have said they got reasonable deals at Pohanka.

X-Type is a nice car, but you're right, you'll like the TL better. Karen Radley is fair on pricing, but you sure as hell won't get a 33.2k price from Pohanka. And for godsakes don't even think about coming here to Richmond. I think they still wan't sticker. I should know, I flew to Florida to get my car....and it was worth it!

Glad to hear you're okay .. My father-in-law had a Jag a few years back . I'm much happier with the TL. Sporty, good quality, great realiability and much more fun to drive IMHO. ThaShef is right, lots of good deals in Jersey, I got mine in Philly was a good price but the salesguy wasn't a real go getter.
Good Luck!
