In the market for a TL
Hey Guys, first and foremost just wanna say i love this forum!..i dont own a TL but i find myself searching through this site from time to time.
So i know this isnt the best place to get an opinion lol, but im looking into getting a TL..I currently drive an 02 nissan altima 3.5SE..and while its fast, powerful and aggressive...it feels really cheap at times...(closing doors, some rattles, and steering feels like an oversized civic)
I've driven a lot of 3g TL's, i love the way it handles, looks and feels on the road...i pretty much love everything about the car. This wouldn't be my first Acura either..i've owned a Legend for 2 years..and loved it
So yeah, I currently have some cash saved up, thinking about selling my car and looking for a TL within the price range of 11-12k...should i bite...orrr not?
Altima Currently has 100k miles, no issues or problems except normal wear and tear.

The only time I've seen a TL down in that price range is when it's close to 100k miles. I'm not saying it's a bad thing but do you want to go from one 100k mile car to another? Is the Altima paid off?
Personally I would keep it and save up for a Type-S. Get your money's worth out of your Altima and save more. Plus no matter how much money I pour into my TL to make it "my own", I find myself wanting to trade it in for a KBP Type-S or a S2k. You may not feel the same way after getting a TL but I know I do.

Got my 2nd TL through a Private seller with 68k in mint condition @ $13.2k! Landed the deal on Craigslist....

I'm a very impulsive buyer and I've made plenty of mistakes in the past because of it. The TL is an awesome car but I don't want to lead you into the wrong direction.
No car payment > car payment

11-12K can get you a TL, but it might have high miles. I would recommend you save a bit more and get a better condition TL or save up more than that for a TL-S.
You can check out craigslist though. Sometimes they have really good deal on cars, because sometimes an owner might be desperate to sell since they either are in need of cash or they are leaving the state/country soon.

for 11-12K you'd be pushing it. unless you don't mind high mileage and wear/tear.
i would continue to save your money until you can afford the one you REALLY want.
you can always finance it, which is what a lot of people do, it's what i did bc i had to.
but like others have said, no car payment is better than a payment.
good luck to you, whatever route you decide to go!
