so i live in the bay area and am trying to find a 2004-2006 TL for under 16,000. it is so hard looking on craigslist because there are barely any for around that price range with relatively low miles. if you guys know any TL's in classifieds around the bay area please let me know!

btw, 2004 TL's dont have a tranny issue like the 99-03's do they?

I think most trans. problems were in the 2nd gen cars & was repaired for the last models (03). Someone will be along with a correction if I'm not quite correct.I got my 05 back in June, very happy with it, black/black.

 

Manual 05> Only problem I have had was a 3rd gear issue of grinding and popping out of gear. This was remedied with a GM SYNCROMESH fluid change and have had 0 problems since.

 

i picked up an 05 6mt with nav and 69k miles for 14000...dunno what you refer to as low miles but this was not a bad deal at all - i would suggest looking at Autotrader.com thats where i found mine at.
