Manual Transmission Fluid Filter
Long story short, I was debating with a co-worker about this, but is there or is there NOT a filter in the transmission gearbox?
A .pdf of the tranny would be helpful to shut this guy up

The TL has what is called an oil pump strainer located before the pump that can be removed/replaced by removing the cover, "O" ring, spring, then strainer, but not what is known as a filter per say.
You'll find it to be #1 in diagram of MT transmission case:

That would not constitute a "filter" to me. As what I believe he is saying is that these have a drain pan and filter like som RWD trucks and such have.
The A/T has a filter on top of it that can be replaced but it is also a PITA.
