Maintenance Schedule

So the manual says the MID will tell me when service is due, and it lists main items A & B and sub items 1 thru 5. But I don't see where it tells me the mileage interval for these items. (The owner's manual for every other vehicle I've owned clearly illustrates this in an easy-to-read chart. WTF?).

Can anyone tell me the mileage intervals, or where to find them. Thanks.

There are no specified mileage intervals because the MID computes the oil changes based on the way you drive, engine conditiions, etc, and others based on it's programmed intervals.

The owner's manual will give you mileage intervals for other than normal driving conditions, and you can use these to estimate what the normal intervals would be.

Thanks for the reply. So the maintenance intervals programmed in the MID are fixed intervals, correct? If so, there aren't documented anywhere?

The mid program uses input from how you drive the car to figure out when things need to be done.
Do lots of easy hiway driving and it extends it, lots of short trips, heavy throttle, and it shortens it.

It will figure and batch things together, so a service comes up at the same time.
Things like filter changes, tire rotations, brake checks, will all be batched together
to be done at the same time.
Its all in the owners manual.

OK, thanks. I get it. I'll shut up and wait for the MID to talk to me. You probably got me to drive more like wuss from now on.

Well, I've been changing the oil/filter well before the oil life gets low enough on the MID to indicate that service is due. Changes at these intervals:

4.6 K miles
10.6 K
15.4 K (plus tire rotation)
21.0 K
27.3 K (done tonight)

The MID was reset each time. The 27.3 K miles are mostly from highway driving. So, without the MID's input, when should I do a B service? Or should I just replace the air filter at 30K, get an alignment, and just drive it? Thanks for any input.
