Maintenance minder code for 3rd service – A or A1?

Maintenance minder code for 3rd service – A or A1?
The MID is prompting an "A" service code for my third maintenance service.
The first was an "A1," second a "B1" and now my third an "A." I expected an "A1" which indicated an oil change and a tire rotation. Instead, it's recommending only an oil change.
I'm thinking maybe the MID might be out of sync (as some of you folks have suggested), because my dealership had zeroed out my odometer a couple of months ago. Acura Client Services says the MID has nothing to do with the odometer, but they refused put this in writing, of course.
The odometer reads 4,099 now, but the estimated actual mileage is between 18,600 ~ 20,000.
Has anyone had a third maintenance service performed? I'm just wondering if you've gotten an "A" or "A1" code.

SFzip had his odometer replaced, which caused the mileage to start over at zero.
The owner's manual says the engine oil life is calculated based on engine operating conditions and accumulated engine revolutions. This probably means that mileage is not considered in this calculation.
Ohter maintenace items, such as tire rotation, dust and pollen filter replacement, etc, are calculated using the accumulated miles shown on the odometer. Therefore, if the odometer was replaced and reset to zero, as SFzip stated, the calculation for these items would start over and would not appear on the maintenance minder display until the miles programmed for that particular item were reached.
For SFzip, and anyone else who has had his odometer replaced and not reset to the actual mileage, you will have to calculate each of the service items individually, adding in the estimated, or actual if known, mileage on the car when the odometer was replaced to the newly accumulated mileage. Do not wait for the MID to tell you it is time for service, because the MID doesn't know about the miles you lost when the odometer was replaced.

Now why couldn't Acura Client Services explain it like you? The rep that was handling my case got irate when I mentioned about how the MID might be out of sync with the odometer. Basically, he told me to RTFM, because the functionality of the MID had nothing to do with the odometer!

There isn't any "normal" reading. The percentage is based on your individual driving habits.
Since the break-in oil is no longer in the engine, there is no problem in doing an oil change early if it is more convenient for you.
Be careful about what they will charge you for the B service, which is nothing more than an oil change plus checking a bunch of items they are supposed to check anyway when changing the oil.

My MID is alerting me to perform "A1" service. However, my car only has 5100 miles on it so I'm planning to just change the oil and not rotate the tires. Will the MID remind me to rotate the tires when I reach 7500 miles?

I figured that was the case; thanks for confirming it. I think the MID should allow you to select the maintenance you've performed when you reset it. I don't see any need to rotate the tires 2400 miles before the recommended interval. I know it groups maintenance items for convenience but it should be more flexible.
