Do you guys follow the Maintenance Minder™ system or what the dealer recommends for oil changes, tire rotations, filter changes, etc.? I purchased my 2007 TL in December 2006. I got my first oil change and tire rotation (A1 service) in August 2007 at approximately 7,000 miles (this was the only oil change I got in 2007). Now it's January 2008 and I have approximately 8,200 miles w/ 70% oil life on my TL. I know you're supposed to follow the Maintenance Minder™ system for all maintenance work as stated in the TL's manual (the TL's manual says that you should, by default, change your oil at least once a year). I just don't want anything to happen to my TL. Is it OK that I just got one oil change in one year? I guess I'm just paranoid.

IIRC, there is a caveat in the Owners Manual for low use situations (like yours). Something to the effect of "Follow the Maint Minder, but if you have xxxx miles or xxxx time without a service prompt, get service anyhow".
Following the Maint Minder will:
- Keep you in warranty
- Normally provide "adequate" protection
- Generally cost less than dealer recommended 3 month/3,000 mile intervals
Low use is an exception though.
