Maintainence at 12k miles?

Hello everyone...

My '06 TL has about 11,500 miles on it right now. I did the A1 service as per the MID at around 6,500 miles.

I'm about to go on a road trip from Tucson to Las Vegas and back, around 1100 miles total. My problem is this. My MID just now went to ">20% Oil Life" which means that it will change to "Service due soon" and display the maintainence code that I need to have performed. However, I leave for the trip in 4 days and I don't think the MID will change to 15% and display the maintainence code before I leave. I don't want to go on the road trip and then have the oil life go to 0% "Service Past Due" in the middle of the trip. But, unless the MID goes to 15%, how am I supposed to know what service I should preemptively do before I leave for the trip?

Historically, what code usually comes up for the second service at around 12k miles?

You'll be fine just waiting for the service to come up rather than doing it pre-emptively, IMO. If you're doing all highway miles, the service message should take longer to come up than if you were doing in-town miles and probably won't say "due now" until your return.
Based on your mileage, it sounds like you're headed towards a B1 (Oil and filter change) or B2 (change oil, filter and rotate tires).

agreed, since it mostly highway driving the MID would not change that fast, you should be fine for the trip..yea probably B1 will show up, I had A1~6k and B1~12k
