Exclamation Made the purchase! Need extras advice...

Just put my deposit down on an Anthracite/Camel AT w/NAV. Paid $32,823 plus tax plus DMV fees. Picking up Saturday. After purchase I was sat down with the accessories manager. Please advise on these offers--tint all windows, body side molding, and deck lid spoiler for $1000. Extended warranty (7 yrs/100,000 mi) for $1,395.

Should I go with either? Anyone else go with the extended warranty? Consumer guides always recommend staying clear of these as they're big money makers for the company. I like the peace of mind, but is it worth it for that kind of $$??

Any advice appreciated as I have to call in these add-ons by tomorrow to still get my car Sat.

These prices are about right, not out of line assuming they tint all five windows and that all parts and labor are included . You figure a good tint will costs you about 300, 495 (parts alone) for the spoiler and 100 (parts alone) for the side moulding. Personally, I never buy extended warranty and the accessories the dealer offers. I am a big honda/acura fan and all the hondas/Acuras that I have owned have been very reliable with zero problem. I buy all the accessories on-line and install them myself and save few hundred dollars.

the prices are w/i the ballpark. I just tinted yesterday and am planning to do the lip spoiler also. i was considering the bsm but now i'm wavering.

the extended warranty on a reliable car like ours may not be worth it unless it is the peace-of-mind it buys you.

good luck.
