Wtf, I can read his posts just fine. Maybe you're the one that has to get grammar lessons.

Anyways, how are you sure that you're getting 9mpg? Thats like suv status. I guess 14mpg is possible though as stated by csmeance.

go onto the highway ( I mean an open one and go the limit) Reset the MID and tell us how much MPG you get at that speed. Exit off and go back in the direction you came from and do it again to make sure your numbers are right. Make sure to use cruise control to eliminate driver error.

Also what tires do you have? How far do you drive?

There are so many things that you do that subtracts from your mpg it's not even funny. Aren't you the guy in the car club? Don't most car clubs try to get the best power and looks? I'm guessing you spend so much money trying to impress OTHER people with your car, your MPG dropped with all the extra accessories.

The real low MPG is because of your hot foot. Try driving a little more gently. You replaced a motor because of knocking... that could be caused by irregular driving habits. What you do on the weekend, or so you say, can and will cause major damage to your engine. Remember man, this is NOT a sports car. We own entry level luxury four door sedans that already weigh 3700-so lbs stock.

Play nice and folks will help you. Did you recently change the gas stations you use? Did you fill up at a different station than normal right before this happened? About how many months ago did this happen. Also try this, it can be slightly dangerous if you do this for too long:

1. Drive around in your car for 20 or so minutes to make sure that the catalysts are heated up.
2. Park and leave the car running (have a buddy sit inside with the doors locked to avoid theft of vehicle)
3. Run to the back and sniff the tail-pipes. Do you smell fuel? Syrup smell?

also do this:
Clean up your muffler tips well and then go for a drive. Come back and take a paper towel (clean) and wipe the tips. Is there a lot of soot? Grime?

If you smell fuel or syrup, your car is running rich and the fuel is not completely being burned off. Put your IAT sensor back to the factory location to help lean it out a bit.

If there is soot, this can be an indicator supporting the first test that the fuel is not completely burning.
