Low Bumpers and Bumps In The Road.

Coming out of a parking lot I bottomed out the bumper a little bit this afternoon. There is a vertical black piece of plastic sticking off the bottom of the bumper. It scraped on the road a little bit. My old volvo had something similar, but was even lower. Anyone else have this problem? It just seems unavoiadable since the front is so low.

It's easy to scrape that, but if it breaks replace it, because it directs air to the engine for cooling.

I don't really mind, since it aint broken. The edge is just rough now. At least its under the car. How much do those things run? And whats it called?

bad angle for me between the street and my driveway, I learned REAL quick that I had to enter / exit the driveway at an angle.

FYI - don't worry about replacing it unless is gets broken really bad. It is normal for this to get scratched and cracked over time. It is actually fairly flexible and strong.
