Lovin the TL-S!!!
Lovin the TL-S!!!
Hey guys,
I have been driving my sister's 07 TL-S for the past two weeks now and I must say it is an amazing car. We had previously agreed to share payments on the car when she bought it but she decided that she would pay for it herself so I wouldn't be able to take it
Anyways my sister is on a business trip and I've been able to drive the car daily for two weeks. Car is so luxurious!! See I have an 02 M3 Vert which suspension wise is the roughest car I have ever driven. The TL-S handles very well and I don't crap my pants everytime I see a pothole
.....perfect mix of comfort and handling
The growl of the quad exhaust is very cool... The navi is 1000x better than the nav on the bimmer. Sure the M3 feels quicker and handles better but theres something about driving a sports sedan that makes the daily drive so much better!
I get the car for one more week and I sure will miss driving it everyday
A couple questions though if you guys don't mind answering:
1) When I have the nav map on "auto" mode...the nav map does not turn to the night mode when the car's headlights are on...is there any reason for that? If I remember correctly it use to turn to night mode whenever the headlights are turned on...
2) The car is rated at 287hp correct? Is this due to the new regulations on HP ratings? Would the car have been rated at 300hp before the new regulations?
If only I could drive both cars whenever I wanted

2)Yes I believe it would have been rated around 300 with the old rating system.

Thanks for the answers!
I'll echo your comments about the M3 vs. the TL-S. My M3 was a '99 and boy did that thing ride rough. My past three cars have been bimmers, but this time I went with the TL-S. Drives great, smooth, yet firm ride, and quiet! Wish it were a RWD or at least an AWD, but I'll get used to FWD again.
Yeah the 02 M3 was my first non japanese car...
I think the next car for me whenever that will be, will be a japanese car...I love the reliablity and interiors.
I don't get how magazines like motortrend or C&D prefer German interiors over Japanese interiors
BTW here's a pic of the TL-S and my M

^^ I mean my sister has the TL-S so I get to drive it every so often...it just would be nice if I could drive it ANYTIME I want...
I haven't done much research on the 09 TL or CL but if I figure out what I'm going to be doing for a living anytime soon then an upgrade to one of the newer Acuras could definitely be in the books in a few years. But as of right now I'm back in school trying to get a second bachelors so I don't have money to do anything to be honest.
I'm actually seriously considering selling my car just to have cash to invest in something.
