I got an 08 base A/T W/Nav, while the other 1 was a 05 base A/T W/Nav, were right on each others bumpers, but i was like 6in behind his front bumper, and i just figured out, y cuz the 07/08 TL weigh like 70lbs more, then the older TL's, dam.

No hes my freind lol. Its stock, both in auto mode. I got the jump a lil, but we were side by side but he was up a little more. Its all good though, if i do keep this car, then i will mod it for sure

 

an 08 TL base has 258 hp and the 05 has 270 rite?? so he had more HP ne way to maybe pull just a lil on u..lol..just another theory to think about..lol

 

People....you can race two of the same exact cars, stock for stock, and one will always inch the other out. You won't get both cars running the exact same time, down to the millisecond.

No, they both make 258 horsepower at the crank. The 270 rating on the '04-'05 models was an inflated pre SAE figure.

 

Maybe his oil is fresher than yours. or his car is more broken in than your since you're newer. Who knows. Cars have there good and bad days.

 

Ya, its all good just also pointing out that newer TL's do have more wieght.

Hey! LOL. Me and the girlfriend at the time raced her '05 against my '06 as soon as I pulled out of the dealership with 8 miles on the odometer. FWIW, my '06 put a couple inches on her.......no jokes.....
