loose bumper?

I was installing the moleskin when I noticed my rear bumper SEEMS loose, I don't know if this is normal or not..? On the drivers side rear bumper, you can push in the bumper - where it meets the tail lights. Pictures and quicktime video follow. I cannot do this on the other side of the car. What could this be? From the a-spec body kit install the dealer did a while ago?

I had the same problem....when they installed the body kit, the guy broke the clip behind the bumper and just left it that way (no integrity in that man )...then i had to go back and have them remove the bumper and install that clip...and then it was fine...

vikrampatel: Is the gap big like that when you're not pushing in the bumper?

I don't have the gap like that but when I push the part of the bumper that meets the body (the vertical line where the rear bumper meets the body of the car) the bumper will move in a little. Very little. Is this normal? It's not loose and there are no gaps.

Mine had a large, very noticable gap. The other side did not have this gap, but could still be pushed in a little.

Either way, I went to the dealer, and they said there was a defective clip and replaced it. Looks great now.

I am not sure if yours is normal or not, if it isn't very noticable I wouldn't worry about it.

Did the dealer replace any clips on the side that did not have the gap?
Well mine doesn't have any gaps, just that it can be pushed a little.

Does anyone know the part number for the clips? And how many are there in total?

Here's the picture. It looks like the clip is #40.

Click here for the parts list.

Clip #40 are the clips that hold the exhaust garnish in place. The clips that hold the bumper to the frame of the car are not clips you take out. I believe they are on the frame of the car and you push the bumper into them. I called up Sunnyside Acura and the parts guy believes they are number item # 25-28. Can someone confirm this?
