Exclamation Looking for some Help!! HID's!!!

I am looking for someone interested in giving me a hand in replacing my HID's in my 04 Acura TL. I am not a car person by any means of imagination. I hate going to the "Stealership" for such a trivial thing. I would like to get some nicer HID's so any recommendation would be great. I am located in Maryland in the Rockville/Gaithersburg area. If any one would like to help a fellow Acurazine'er please let me know...Tues-Fri are good for me and I can meet any were.

Thanks
JS

look in the Off Topic link- meets sections for people in your area
Kaixen is a popular brand bulb in 5000 or 6000k color
stock color is 4600 so both are more blue and less white on the road surface
5000 is a good choice for looks and seeing with

contact vendor Excelerate by PM or phone- tell him you are with acurazine to get the special price- about 110 per pair last I looked. at dealer 185 each!

Its a simple DIY- see Garage section for details

ehhhh if I lived closer Id help you but im in CT

really its not hard to do, I did mine and I did another members here....and Im a girl LOL
some people say it can be done without taking off the bumper but I couldnt get my hand in there and my hands are pretty small.
I suggest you give this a try yourself, really its not that hard. You will need to take off the bumper and you can get at the back of the lights from there. There is a little torx screw that you will need to remove, it is on the black plastic piece on the back of the light. You will need to remove this in order to put the new bulb in.

Here ill post some links that may help you.
FYI I found these in the 3g garage

I wonder how many of you really take off the bumper for a 15 min install

Kaixen, Philips and Xetronics are popular brands.

Stock is 4300K, which is optimum output of lumens, but of course it is yellowish...

Most run 6000K to produce pure white, there is a loss of lumens but worth it in my opinion.

Anything above 6000K is rice, ok, maybe not rice, but definitely pointless as you get bluer/purple...with diminished lumen output.
