Looking to purchase a deck lid spoiler (painted)
I would like to order a trunk lid spoiler (the kind that adheres by tape, no drilling) from a reliable source for my 06 tl. Preferably pre-painted. I thought there was an online supplier that was selling them (painted) for $199 US but can't recall who that was. I live in Ottawa, Canada, so they'd hopefully deliver to Canada for free/low cost.
Any recommendations/feedback on this would be very helpful. Thanks.

Of course the Type-S OEM looks better, but slightly. You just need to ask yourself, is it worth spending an extra $200-300 for the OEM one? Or spend for a almost-the-same spoiler for $100?

Just got mine from the spoilerstore yesterday. Order Wed. and arrived Saturday. Can't get much faster than that. Just over $100 painted and shipped, but with bing cashback and some ebay bucks, it came out under $100. Paint match is exact and seems to be good quality. I guess I'll have to wait and see if it'll last.

Did you use anything extra besides double sided tape to hold on; such as e-poxy?

What a great buy. I am seriously considering this e-bay one as well. I used to be an OEM parts fan but I can't justify paying three times as much for an OEM one. This way, if you ever want a wing spoiler later, you can just remove it since you won't have to drill holes like the OEM one. I am just worried that the spoiler would come off over time.

I've had it on for 18 months, through tons of car washes, serious rain storms and one of the worst winters we've experienced in the last few years, and it's still holding strong.

Personally, I think the pre painted ones are not good quality. Grab one that isnt ainted for 60 bucks on ebay, and paint it yourself. I just did this with a roof spoiler and it turned out great. All you have to do is get a spray paint can with your color matched paint, and clear coat. Its easy to do, takes a few hours but turns out great. Just good spray paint automotive paint!

Some dirty "Son of a B" stole mine off the car 2 nights ago. It was OEM dealer installed with the screws!!! Looks like they stuck a screwdriver under there popped it up and pulled till it came off.... So pissed right now. I used goo gone to remove the glue trails but I have 2 f'ing screws in my trunk that I cant really remove as it will leave a hole, a slight dent from whatever they used to pry it off and then 2 spots that I had to use touch up paint on....

Follow up on SpoilerStore order - 2 weeks and counting...
Update: Ordered mine April 23 and still waiting (over 2 weeks)... Buyers beware. If the Spoiler Store does not have your color, you have to pay an extra $40 and wait an extra week, at least. Shipping to Ottawa, Canada was $70...
So in actual fact, that $82 spoiler cost $192.00 when all said and done. I'll update again when/if I get it. An email from the SpoilerStore was sent to me May 3rd saying they were getting it back from the painter that day and sending it out the following day (May 4)...

I've had one of these on my car held on by the 3M tape for the past 3+ years. No problems at all- just be sure to clean the trunk surface where the spoiler will be placed with some form of alcohol (I used denatured alcohol available at Home Depot or Lowes)- this will remove all of the wax residue from the area, and allow the tape to make the spoiler more 'permanent'.

I hate to bump this 2 year old thread, but thespoilerstore has been out of stock on the AM color for the past two months. I'm gettin tired of waiting and I'd rather not buy a primered one and have it painted. Is there anywhere else to get one this style? I'm not big on the "M3" style ones.
