Looking for previous owner

Hello.
I've just bought acura TL type-s '07 on IAAI auction. You might be against such a purchases but slavaged auto is the only way to import it to Poland and pay reasonable overall sum for it.
To the point.
Auto is tunned a littlle bit so there is probability that s/o from this forum owned it.
I am wondering about service history and therefore what should I service when it will arrive here.

VIN number is 017268 (last 6 digits)
White, lowered, darkened windows, non type s rims, gold coloured engin coever.

PM me.

Thanks

you are searching for a needle in a hay stack.
most likely YOU will never NEVER EVER find the Previous owner.

you should treat the car JUST LIKE ANY OTHER USED CAR.
have fresh fluids put in.
oil, brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, power steering fluid.
and if anything is broken, FIX IT.

instead of relying on the PREVIOUS owner, who you might NEVER FIND, EVER, you should just maintain the vehicle and MAKE it brand new, so YOU dont ever have to worry.

Welcome to AcuraZine.

It's a long shot to try and find the previous owner but you've come to the best website to look.

Do you have any pictures of it? That could help.

Longshot indeed, you might try the Facebook group too. The gold engine covers would seem to lead there.

I know this - this is obvious. I'm rather thinking about 'big service' - water pump, parts of valve timing system etc.

yes, yes - laugh at me but it wasn't me who painted it - it was s/o from US

To be honest I do not have account on FB (sometimes I'm wondering whether I exist or not ), so I'll try here.

So far the characterisitc features are the gold cover and probably back of the car (sticker on darkened window).

I am looking forward to see this car. I'm shifting from accord coupe '95 - could not break up with japanese technology produced in US

Thanks guys

It is highly unlikey to find the original owner. You can carfax the vehicle and get information from a dealer that way. If it was serviced or ever at a dealer then it will show up on the carfax. Even if we knew who's car it might be. Pictures are the only way to determine that at the best. You have any picture of the car?

The picture could be helpful...when you get the car post some more pictures if you haven't found the old owner yet. Looks like it had the original Type S spoiler, I can see the holes in the trunk lid. You can join FB just to check out the 3G group on there and then close your account. At any rate, probably a long shot. Any idea what part of the US the car was from?

There have been a few times members have found the previous owner, and some have been on here. But very few. Good luck with your search and welcome to Acurazine!!

no, no ones laughing at you. and the facebook idea is worse as they are bigger clowns than we are. (3G tl facebook group that is)

it's just very unrealistic to hope to find the previous owner.
you're better off changing and replacing the obvious(in your words)

this way, you know for sure that your car is operating at its peak.

Unfortunatelly the front bumper is also missing. But the rest looks undamaged on photos. I will know on Monday what is it's real condition.

Thanks for offer but transfers from Poland are too expensive. Unless you use pay pall.

I have paypal! I have some extra TL stuff that I have laying around. Let me know if you need anything else. I have no idea what shipping cost would be to Poland but I can sure get quotes.

Do you know anyone who works in the Texas DMV? They might be able to pull a VIN # check on the vehicle for you to find out who owned it. OR do it yourself and just tell them that you are doing it for historical reasons. Found my parents old 67 corvette that way along with a friend on the inside. Just a thought.

Guys,
question to you.

I have to buy the complete set of front bumper. I am thinnking of instaling A-Spec body kit.

http://www.acurapartswarehouse.com/P...=4301%20382512

Do I need to buy number 3, 6, 49, 51, 53, 54? Or it is not needed when instaling A-Spec Kit? (I looked at photos and it looks to me as if it was included into A-Spec set)

I am also wondering about 29.

Regards

Well the only parts required are the fog lights. I recently had to swap the aftermarket base bumper my TL-S came with for the OEM one along with the A-Spec Lip Kit. The A-Spec has it's own lower mesh, etc. As for 29 I'm not sure, only unless yours is missing.

Here's some pics:

This was my old aftermarket base bumper. The only thing I removed from it was the fog lights. I left the trims you referring too. You don't need 3, 6, 49, 53, or 54.

Here's the A-Spec front lip installed on the Front bumper before the fog lights. Also my 08 CBP TL-S in the background.

And the final product with Fogs installed...

it's there.
a 5mph bumper doesnt have to have that silly Styrofoam.
ours uses a steel beam and a black plastic cover.

you can definitely see the beam going across the radiator.
