Looking to MOD

I have an 04 TL and I am looking to modify my car.. Just wanting to get some advice about what I should do first, and try to keep the price reasonable.
Thanks for the help.

What kind of mod? For the performance or for the look?

Here's a list I put together including cost and shipping. That being said, I live in Canada, so depending on where you are, you could save money on the dollar, as well as shipping.

Tint: 400.00
Summer Rims w/ Tires: 1250 (17’’) / 1500 (18’’)

Cleared/body painted headlights: 400.00
Cleared/painted taillights: 400.00
Smoked rear side marker: 100.00

Roof Overlay: 200.00

A-Spec Body Kit: 1,200.00

Total: 4,200.00

Internal/extra:

Bluetooth: 200.00
Radar Detector: 300.00
LED interior lights 200.00

Total: 700.00

Performance:

Exhaust: 1,200.00
J Pipe 400.00
CAI: 250.00

Total: 1,850.00

FYI: If our cars come out looking the same when their done I'm going to take all the credit.

Welcome to the Forums! Enjoy your car!

well for looks I'd say you could do a blacked out grill or painted engine cover.

Advise, search through this forum, there's tons of DIY mods that are reasonably cheap. So long as you do your homework on each you should be fine. Doing things yourself will save you a ton of $. Look in the 3rd Gen garage for the DIY's, pick what you want to do and mod away.

^ i agree with jptl04.
Get to know your car and what you can do with it. Get educated by reading this forum back to front 10x over.
Asking us what YOU should do is kinda silly.

the 3G garage is a good place to start.

ET, I always suggest tints as a first mod. To me, it's almost a must-I think the TL's look sort of weird without it.

Then, an Aspec Kit makes a Base TL look awesome.

Thanks for the advice, I have had the car since 2006

I already some modifications such as 20x9 Ruff Racing rims black wrapped in Nitto's / 20% tint on 5 windows / and 2 10" Orion Subs with 1200w amp and 6 1/2" kicker door speakers 6x9 kicker in back deck..

The main thing I am really wanting to do is upgrade the engine. But like I said not sure where to start..

Just go step by step. Enjoy each mod at a time.

Tints first.

HOLY BATMAN! 400.00 for Tint that is insane. I thought I overpaid for 250.00. These prices are outrageous. Have you heard of Craigslist.

Good price! =)

I think I was quoted like $900+ for it shipped up here =O

Duties and taxes not included in that $900+ yet either I think.
