I'm looking to buy a TL hopefully wiyth Nav. What should I look out for and because i can only afford a 04 or 05 is it easy to put fog in them. I just sold my 02 type S and loved the fact it had fogs. Please help.

 

Hello, and from what I have seen and understand is that alot of members install the Accord fogs on the 04-06's. You should be able to DIY, what color, tranny are you thinking about?

 

Any colour except sliver and the trannu has to be auto due to my wife. But the big thing is should I be looking for anything on the 04 to 06 TL that could bite me down the line. I have also owned a 99 and that gave tranny problems so I got the 02. the 02 lost a trany as well. How are the 04 to 06 for the transmissions? Is it worth getting on with nav or get an aftermarket unit.

04 had some prob also i believe, by 05 it was fixed i think. technically rules of car, never buy the first year as the second or third year they should be fixed with prob. i had my auto 97 prelude and the tranny was going also, learned not to buy first year production car =] so in retrospec i say the 06 or 05, not the 04

 

Thait what did it cost to do the fogs on your car? Does it cost alot to update the maps on the Nav sytems?

 

the cost for the fogs was 170 as i got the oem one from honda, its the accord 03-05 4drr fog. you can get away with getting the ebay one which is around 60 dollars. (i want original stuff no on after buying cheap stuff for my prelude =\). i then coverted to hid which was another 50 on top. the install was a diy, it took a while and wasnt fun but it is doable.

for my navi, i didnt update the map yet. do think i will anytime soon. to update the map its just buying the disk and inserting in the back of the navi. my 3.40c navi disk is pretty accurate and i live in los angles. i have seen prices for disk range for 40-150 depending on the seller and version you want to upgrade to.
