Looking to buy

I has my bumper vin labels.
OP 2 years ago when I set out a search for a 6mt Type S I searched 4-5 times every day for 6 weeks until I found a car that met my criteria.
Then I flew from New Mexico to New York to pick it up. I did drive down the coast line but even a straight shot home would have been 2000 miles roughly.
If you think you are gonna have a 6mt type S by the end of the month you are going to rush a purchase and possibly not make the best decision out there.
But there are some members on Azine that are selling their cars, some very clean and well modded cars at that.
I am in the air about selling mine right now but I am not in a rush to do it. I know its just a phase that will pass.
Good luck with the search and ultimately purchase.

Open the trunk, and the bumpers VIN label is located just below and to the left of the passenger side taillight. I was able to see just a small part of it in one of the pictures, but in person or full pictures if the VIN label is there it's completely in the open and visible. It's just nice to see it there because if its missing you it's not the original bumper. I have also seen the label there, but painted over. All the other VIN labels are easily visible as well such as the trunk kid, doors, and rear quarters as well as the hood. The only ones difficult to see are the front quarters because they are located on the inside of the panel. In order to see those you have to remove part of the inner fender lining near the wheels. The front bumper label is located to the left or right of the grill. Pop the hood and slightly pry up the black plastic cover panel and you will see it.

After flying to Long Beach and actually looking at the car I quickly realized it had been in front and rear accidents. Might not have time to get one of these.

Ahh crap that sucks. Thats why when you fly out to get a car you have to be 100% sure about everything. I have had owners take pictures of every single VIN label, certain angles of each panel so I can confirm the clear coats texture so I know if its original or not. Things like that, and if the seller isnt willing or able to do this stuff I move on. So far my methods have not failed me and every car I have bought out of state has been a success. One of my oput of state purchases was from a dealership and I even had the service technician do a walk around while I was asking him questions on the phone.

I'm not into VW whatsoever. Never even owned one and I have had lots of cars. They just seem to plain jane to me. A few people I work with have them two of the people say they are complete disasters of a car, then other has a diesel Jetta and likes it.

Do they look like this? I ask because I know pre 07s are junk.
