hey

ok so i doing a cleaning of the car this weekend and i wanted to take off my front plate to see where i can relocate it. I put it over the Right side grill (where the fog lights would go) but now i have these 2 holes where the plate was bolted into the bumper. I called up the dealership for those caps and expecting them to say we have some laying around

but this is what i get from them.

"The 2 little license plate caps come painted silver and cost $28.00 each plus tax. It would take 1 business day to order."

like WTH is that!! 60.00 for 2 caps the size of a penny?

does ANYONE have 2 silver or non painted or even painted which i can repaint caps i can buy off them or if you work at a dealership Hook me up with!!

i mean i cant imagine these caps are that technologically advanced that i have to pay 60.00 for them.

there was a member on here selling them for 10 dollars a pair. but if i do pass by the dealership, i can definitely get you caps if you want. they just have them laying around the place. what color you want?

NOTE: its not guaranteed. only IF i pass by the dealership, i can stop there and get you some. im cool with a dealer there so...

 

just go to the parts department at the dealer and ask them if they have ne in the back (thats what i did) but before the guy looked in back he told me to go out back with a flathead screwdriver! lol but they're taxing you cuz i was told 18per cap!

 

yea it just sucks i live an hour and 10 minutes away from the closest acura dealership. i need the 'satin silver' color.

 

so i just called the two closest dealers (which are over an hour and a half away) and they told me they are $24 each! wtf is that? AND both places had them in stock. then he got mad at me because i wanted them because he said EVERYONE needs a front plate, when i told him i was just going to relocate it he got even more mad. HAHAHAHAHA he literally was kind of calling me dumb. lol i told him he is lucky i live far away, otherwise as he is getting fired he was gunna get his ass kicked!

yeahs, i posted up a thread about this in the problems and fixes section in the 3G forum, but i did the same, called two different dealers and they both wanted 25/ea plus tax and i was like fuck that... but i ended up calling tim over at Hondacuraworld and he hooked me up for a cheaper price. 32.99 shipped for two of them in the factory paint. hope this helps.

 

yea i asked him if i was supposed to have gotten some when i bought the car and told him i didnt just to see if he would give them to me... then he told me they take them off to put on the plate bracket, and that you arent supposed to have them because you HAVE to have a plate. the more i think about the service i got from that guy, i wanna drive down there. such shitty service

My dealership gives them for me for free. If I go by next time I'll ask for some and you just have to pay for shipping which is like a dollar or I can waive the shipping!
